My Health Record is a secure online platform established by the Australian Government to store your health information. With your consent, healthcare providers can access and contribute to this record during your medical consultations. You also have the ability to add personal health information to the record.
This shared access provides healthcare professionals with a more comprehensive understanding of your medical history, helping them deliver the highest quality care throughout your life.
As part of your experience with Vista Day Surgery, you will be asked about your My Health Record preferences during the online eAdmission process. Specifically, you can choose whether you want your discharge summary uploaded to your My Health Record. If you decide to opt out of this feature, you will also have the opportunity to confirm this preference in person during your admission to Vista Day Surgery.
For patients who wish to opt out of My Health Record entirely, you can do so by visiting the My Health Record page on the Digital Health website or by contacting 1800 723 471 (option 1). This service is available 24/7 for your convenience. By considering your preferences, Vista Day Surgery aims to respect your choices and provide a tailored healthcare experience.
